Seymour Avenue itself is filling in with independent businesses: Fenton Brewing Company opened at 169 N Seymour, Lakes Apothecary expanded into 404 N Seymour and Three Birds Yard Studio opened at 512 N Seymour, with Jack’s Smokin’ BBQ around the corner at 32 E Park Street.

Lake Street (Route 45), the main artery through downtown, carries about 21,200 vehicles a day (IDOT 2025).
