There are many opportunities for guests to truly experience the profound beauty and rustic appeal of the surrounding Talkeetna Mountains. The Lodge's signatures Eco Tours are tailored to each client and feature hiking treks among the outlying cabins. This experience is rich in wildlife viewing, birding and photography opportunities. From the biggest brown bear down to the smallest wildflower, guests experience the most vibrant details of Alaska.

Stephan Lake Lodge provides high quality and unique big game trophy hunts in Alaska's spectacular Talkeetna Mountains, Susitna River drainage, and Game Management Units 13E & 14. Some of the species hunted in this area include; Dall Sheep, Moose, Grizzly/Brown Bear, Black Bear, Wolf, Caribou, and Wolverine. At Stephan Lake Lodge guests enjoy Alaskan wilderness lake and stream fishing the way it's meant to be. The location on 5-mile-long Stephan Lake makes an ideal setting for some of the best fishing in Alaska, and the outflow of Stephan Lake is called Prairie Creek and is the third largest inland King Salmon run in Alaska. The fishing season begins in early June for Rainbow Trout, Arctic Grayling and Lake Trout in the pristine lake. Salmon fishing begins in July with King Salmon and Red Salmon followed by great Silver Salmon in August in addition to Rainbow Trout and Grayling in the nearby clear water tributary streams. **BTV all information
