The White House on Washington Street is the historic home of the storied White furniture family, leaders of North Carolina’s early furniture manufacturing aristocracy.

The White House on Washington Street was completed in 2020, with great excitement and bookings including being honored to host the Mayor of Mebane’s wedding as its inaugurating event! Unfortunately, Covid put a stop to the business just as the venue was launching.

Gradually reopened months ago, WHW has again received a warm reception as a unique and gracious option for events, weddings and parties. A robust formal Afternoon Tea service has been resumed three days a week and caters to a receptive and appreciative audience from a large surrounding area.

WHW enjoys an ongoing relationship with a nearby, well-established catering operation, capable of any level of participation in booking, marketing and catering. This offers the potential new owners an opportunity to move seamlessly forward with bookings already in existence, as well as immediate capitalization on the steady flow of new event inquiries without undue organizational burden and startup delays.
