The City of Richmond has approved the conversion of this property into apartments on the upper floors, as long as a portion of the ground floor is used as commercial space.

This historic Jackson Ward property was built in 1861 and has been added to over the years. Most recently it has been used by the owner as a law office on the top two floors since 1999, and the raised basement has housed a number of different retail tenants. Most recently, the raised basement was leased to a wig maker.​ The building is vacant at the moment, with no tenants in place.​

Located in the heart of historic Jackson Ward, one block from the Greater Richmond Convention Center and surrounded by local businesses. Near the Visitor's Bureau, Virginia Biotechnology Research Park, Reynolds Community College downtown campus, United Network for Organ Sharing HQ, and Medical College of Virginia hospital and campus.
