ABOUT CARROLL GARDENS
Known for its Italian-American roots, Brooklyn’s Carroll Gardens neighborhood shows its heritage in the many traditional Italian cafes and shops on Court and Smith streets. Hip boutiques, cool bars and trendy restaurants are here, too. The pretty, leafy thoroughfares are lined with brownstones and garden-fronted residences, many of which are home to young families and upwardly mobile professionals.

AROUND SMITH STREET
Lots of cafes and restaurants, independent boutiques and some bigger name stores like Free People but in small nicely designed shops. Friendly local neighbourhood feel. Smith Street bagel and Paisano’s Butcher Shop. Also close to Court Street and downtown Brooklyn which is worth a wander when in the area. Modern gentrified Brooklyn but in an original neighbourhood setting. It’s a fun area.
