Anil brings Over two decades of executive operations experience in the technology space. As founder of Kancharla Corporation, a retail and wholesale business Hosted VoIP service provider, he served as President and CEO. Founded in 2000, Kancharla was the first Hosted Business VoIP provider in the US, and in 2003 the retail division was acquired by Knology, Inc. (NASDAQ:KNOL). He then founded Kancharla Wholesale with POPs in multiple NFL cities to provide hosted business VoIP services and e911 services to other national VoIP providers. In 2008, Kancharla Wholesale was acquired by GlobaLinx. Previously in 1992, Mr. Reddy began his career in the technology industry by founding SySoft/Kancharla Manufacturing, a personal computer and server manufacturer whose customers included The University of Alabama and LG Electronics.
Anil most recently served as CEO/President of Systems, Products and Solutions, Inc. a Defense contracting company specializing in Logistics and Information Technology that served the US military and other civilian agencies. He currently serves as Chairman of Avani Corporation a Huntsville, AL based company that he founded, which provides Smartgrid/Homegrid and Smart Home Technology solutions to OEMs and Utility companies. Mr. Reddy has several patents pending in the field of embedded silicon based power measurement, capacitive sensing dimmers/switches, and methods for simplified Demand Response System including SMS/Permanent Response.
Anil was born and attended primary school in Hyderabad, India. Upon moving to the United States he attended high school in Dothan, Alabama while simultaneously doing course work at Auburn University and George C. Wallace State College. While attending The University of Alabama in Huntsville, Mr. Reddy completed course work in mechanical, electrical, computer, and aerospace engineering, and published a paper on “Urine Purification for Long Term Moon/Mars Missions,” as well as other subjects. He has previously been certified as Novell Network Engineer, Microsoft Certified Engineer, and Cisco Systems Engineer. He is also proficient in microcontroller and embedded technology including power line broadband communications, RF and SmartGrid security methods and models.
