William C. "Bill" Parr, Real Estate Professional, Business Consultant
Bill is the founder, President and Principal Broker of Parr Properties, Inc. and a resident of Northampton County Virginia. With over 35 years of real estate brokerage and land development experience. He has many years experience in commercial real estate and is an experienced director of various corporate and non-profit organizations. He entered the Real estate profession as a licensed agent in 1983, obtaining a Virginia broker’s license in 1987. . He founded Parr Properties Inc, a general real estate brokerage firm in 1989.

In 1993, he served as President of the Eastern Shore Board of Realtors, and as a member of the Virginia Association of Realtors board of directors in 2001, and was the co-founder of VAR’s Commercial committee structure in the mid 1990’s. In 1995 he participated with a small group of other dedicated volunteers to found The Barrier Islands Center Museum serving as a member of the board of directors and member of land acquisition & construction committee for several years until the facility finally opened its doors in 2002. In 2010 he was elected to be the 2011 president of The Eastern Shore Association of Realtors. And in 2011 was appointed by the Northampton County Board of Supervisors to serve on the county’s comprehensive plan advisory committee where he served as chairman from Jan 2012 until its conclusion in Feb of 2013. Parr was appointed by Governor Bob McDonnell to serve on the Rural Jobs Council and was elected to serve as the chairman of the subcommittee on Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Jan 2013 to Jan 2014. He has served as a commissioner of the Joint Industrial Development Authority of Northampton County and its incorporated towns, and was elected as its chairman in 2013 serving through 2019.
He has many years of marketing, advertising and public relations experience, as well as legislative activism on both a state and national level working with professional lobbyists on a number of important legislative initiatives. He has extensive land sales and development experience and has been involved in a number of landmark transactions, as well as historic restoration projects, economic development and product development initiatives.
