Bio

Brian McGowan joined Prendamano Real Estate "PreReal" as an intern in 2009. His commanding knowledge of marketing trends within the real estate industry propelled him to the position of Director of Marketing by age 23. During his tenure, Mr. McGowan rebranded the company and introduced cutting edge technology into the company’s marketing practices. This technology became the foundation for how Casandra Properties markets. Mr. McGowan is now an Associate Broker for Prendamano Real Estate. His thorough knowledge of the real estate industry and understanding of changing marketing trends have brought him acclaim for record breaking Staten Island real estate deals such as the sale of Edgewater Plaza in 2015, the sale of The View Luxury Apartments in 2018 and the sale of South Shore Commons 137,000 SF Shopping Center in 2018. Currently, Mr. McGowan and team are representing over $1 Billion Dollars worth of Staten Island real estate and is an integral part of the development and leasing teams for Empire Outlets, URBY (Ironstate Company’s redevelopment of the Staten Island navy homeport), Minthorne Street Revitalization and numerous other projects within Staten Island. As a Staten Island native, Mr. McGowan has a strong affection for his community. He serves as Annual Fundraising Chairperson for the YMCA Counseling Services – an organization dedicated to helping young people and their families overcome the devastation of drug addiction. Heroin addiction on Staten Island has risen to epidemic proportions. Mr. McGowan tries to serve as an example to young people of what they can accomplish being drug free. Mr. McGowan is also an active member of Kiwanis International – an organization committed to serving the children of the world. Through the Verrazano Kiwanis club, Mr. McGowan has raised money for Sun Rise Day Camp, Michael’s Cause, Pediatric Lyme disease, Autism speaks and many other non-profits committed to helping children. Mr. McGowan’s dedication to his career and community earned him the “King of Staten Island” award from the Star Network in 2017 and Staten Island Economic Development Committees “ 20 Under 40” Award in 2018 and City States “RESPONSIBLE 100” award in 2018. Mr. McGowan earned his Bachelor of Arts in finance and business marketing from Wagner College. His academic focus was in the financial industries and institutional marketing practices.
