Erich Schmidt brings as impressive financial background and expertise to NAI Mountain joining the company to work directly with the Investment Services team as analyst and junior broker. Erich grew up in Chicago and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago. While still attending school, Erich worked as a trader’s assistant for a group of Soybean Options traders at the Chicago Board of Trade. Erich continued developing his career in the financial services industry as a U.S. Treasury futures and options trader. In the late 90’s and into the early 2000’s, Mr. Schmidt was one of the first U.S. Treasury traders to progress from the trading floor to the electronic trading platform. During his time as a U.S. Treasury trader, he had much success while managing well over $25 million in assets.

More recently, Erich worked for Breakwater Trading LLC as a Senior Fixed Income Trader. In 2008, he became partner and Senior Fixed Income Trader with Endeavor Trading LLC in Chicago. Erich joined NAI Mountain in 2012 to further establish the company’s investment sales accomplishments. He brings years of experience to the company from conducting investment real estate transactions. Before joining NAI Mountain, Erich was involved in the residential real estate investment market as well as property management throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Establishing a residence in Eagle County since 2003, Erich is an active member of the community with an extensive understanding of the land and local real estate market.
