Gina Caruso joined The Lord Companies, L.L.C. in 2016 as a Broker Associate.
Gina brings to brokerage and development a unique understanding of the retail
market with a proven track record of results from her economic development and
urban planning background. She specializes in design, construction management and
consulting of residential, retail and mixed-use properties in Chicago and the
metropolitan region. Gina leverages her referral network and represents both
Landlords and Tenants. She is dedicated to her client’s success by understanding
their goals and finding strategic and creative solutions with and thorough market
analysis and insights into her clients’ communities.

Gina brings over 20 years of seasoned and diverse experience to commercial
development and brokerage. As Executive Director of the Lakeview East Chamber
of Commerce Gina lead the agency’s economic development initiatives and
managed the local Special Service Area (SSA). She worked on a wide range of
land use and master plans as a City Planner with The Lakota Group and specialized
in SSA creation with her firm Caruso Consults. Gina worked with 70+ business
organizations in over 60 commercial districts citywide as an Assistant Commissioner
with the City of Chicago’s planning and business departments.

Gina is a licensed broker in the State of Illinois. She is an active member of the
International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Retail Brokers Network (RBN),
and Real Estate Investors Association (REIA). Gina is also a board member and
Vice President of Communications of Lambda Alpha International – Ely Chapter
and a Certified Planner through the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Gina holds a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy (MUPP) from the University of
Illinois in Chicago and a Cum Laud Bachelors Degree from Cornell College in Mt.
Vernon, IA.

Gina is a published author and sought-after presenter at juried conferences and
professional events. Gina is a Chicago native and currently lives on the north side of
Chicago.
