Joan Velardi has been a Realtor since March, 2003. She initially started with Weichert Commercial which later became Hirschman Realty. While at Hirschman she became Vice President of Sales. In 2009, she took a hiatus from real estate and worked as a management consultant. When she moved to Ocean County in 2016, she restarted her career in commercial real estate. In 2018, she joined Century 21. Ms. Velardi specializes in the sale and lease of office and industrial properties in Passaic, Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Monmouth, Ocean and Atlantic Counties. Additionally, she specializes in retail properties, especially in Ocean and Bergen Counties.

Ms. Velardi has more than 25 years of management experience in distribution, sales, marketing and importing/exporting. Prior to her real estate career, she worked in international marketing and sales for companies such as Stauffer Chemical (Food Ingredient Division), International Flavors and Fragrances, and W.R. Grace (Grace Cocoa Division), as well as having had her own food import/export business in Europe. Additionally, she had been a Director of Marketing and International Sales for a perfume company, launching one of the top 10 fragrances in the USA. Before moving down to the Jersey shore – she was a Director of Marketing for a demolition and environmental remediation company.

EDUCATION
Ms. Velardi attended Holy Cross College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, with a minor in Economics. She has her real estate license with the State of NJ since 2003 and has her advanced commercial advisor certification with Century 21.
