After graduating from Florida State University, Martin was Physical Director for the Ft.Lauderdale YMCA. Martin grew up in Florida. He and Susan have lived in Citrus Hills for over 15 years. They are avid supporters of Citrus County and believe it to be the best place to work and live in Florida. They have 5 grown children and 8 grandchildren that live in Ft.Lauderdale, Naples, Palm Coast and Atlanta.

He and his wife Susan owned and managed several successful businesses throughout Florida and Kentucky.
