Serving as Market Leader and National Director of Shopping Centers, Matthew Wallace oversees the company’s expansion and amplifies business development, implementing company-wide initiatives, and collaborating to increase productivity and training efforts. Matthew also manages the expansion and development of the Matthews™ Cleveland office. Matthew leads the daily activities and supports the management structure in the workplace while focusing on growing the Matthews™ brand and reputation into new markets. His robust leadership skills and experience make him an asset in recruiting efforts and the overall advancement of Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™. As National Director of Shopping Centers, Matthew is the visionary behind the transformative development of the shopping center platform. Working for a publicly traded REIT as well as a private fund operator, Matthew leveraged his time on the principal side to diversify his background and develop a deep understanding of the intricate mechanisms that drive the real estate market.

Prior to joining Matthews™, Matthew worked as the VP of Transactions for Chase Properties, a Cleveland-based private equity firm. During his tenure, he completed over $250M in transactions, built out a new company-wide asset management system, and helped expand the company’s institutional joint venture relationships. Prior to Chase Properties, Matthew led East Coast acquisitions and dispositions for DDR, a publicly traded REIT, where he completed over $1 billion in transaction volume during his tenure.
