I first got my real estate license in Utah in August 1985. Since then I have worked for several brokers in Utah and other states including Iowa, Illinois and Oregon.
I've held either an sales agent or brokers license continuously from 1985 to present including Utah from 1985 to 2000, Illinois from 1999 to 2001, Iowa again from 2005 to 2007, Utah from 2001 to present and Oregon from late 2008 to 2010 and Utah from 2010 to present.
I mostly worked in foreclosure residential real estate from 1985 to 1998, at which time I moved to Moline, Illinois and acquired 32 rental units in 7 different buildings. I sold them back to the previous owner in late 2000 upon which time I took a position as weekend editor of a daily newspaper in Newton, Iowa, moving to the main editor position in Knoxville Iowa 4 months later. At the time I held both Illinois and Iowa real estate licenses and got another Utah one when I arrived back in Salt Lake in mid-2001.
Since then I have been licensed in Utah as agent and have worked for just two companies since returning, both of which did both residential and commercial real estate.
For the past 4 years I have been an assistant for Jimmy Reese, a commercial associate broker who has been licensed since the 1970's, assisting him with various commercial transactions in the hospitality and retail areas.
I work in the hospitality, industrial, commercial and leasing sectors.
