Richard A. Suthard has been a member of the Fox & Roach team since June 2010, resulting from the strategic merger of Vanguard Property Group, Inc. into its Northfield NJ Real Estate Marketing Center. Richard has previously acted in the capacity of President and Broker-Salesman for Vanguard Property Group, Inc from 1988 until mid 2010.
Suthard has been a licensed New Jersey Real Estate Agent since 1982, which was earned while attending his Undergraduate studies at the Richard Stockton College of NJ. He later obtained his New Jersey Real Estate Broker’s License in 1987. In the early 1980’s he began his Real Estate Career working for several Residential Developers and Brokerages that concentrated in new single family homes and condominiums. During those years Richard has learned much about site selection and evaluating project feasibility, and has successfully acted in the capacity of on-site Salesperson and later as a Sales Manager for housing development projects. Vanguard Property Group, Inc. was founded by him and a business partner in 1988, and has flourished in its role as one of the more active and progressive privately owned commercial real estate brokerages in Atlantic County, NJ. In 1995, Vanguard grew through acquisition of the Residential Brokerage Assets of larger competitor and assumed its existing operations in Northfield, NJ. Vanguard merged into Fox & Roach’s organization in 2010. Berkshire Hathaway HS Fox & Roach Realtors is a National Leader, and operates a dominant network of over 60 offices in the Northeastern US.
During his nearly 35-year real estate career, Richard has directly participated in generating volume in excess of 150 million dollars in units marketed or Leased/Sold, and as a Brokerage Owner and Corporate Officer, has overseen nearly 1 billion dollars in units marketed & leased/sold in that timeframe.
Richard’s success in selling commercial buildings is directly related to his in-depth knowledge of the Leasing marketplace, and his ability to attract and retain excellent Tenants in those buildings.
