Bio
Sam is responsible for the operations and performance of the brokerage, leasing, and property management divisions of Hale Retail Group, as well as client relations and business development. Sam utilizes his extensive experience in retail investment sales to provide leadership and oversight for the Hale Retail Group team.
Sam received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Real Estate from the University of Georgia and has been a licensed real estate agent since 1974 and a licensed real estate broker since 1985. Sam spent ten years working wiht Wells Fargo in Atlanta, Washington D.C., and New York. Prior to forming Hale Retail Group, he spent over twenty years as associate broker at Brown Realty Advisors where he specialized in retail investment sales. Sam has closed over 200 commercial transactions ranging in size from neighborhood and specialty centers up to regional malls. His career also includes ten years with Wells Fargo where he was twice named salesperson of the year.
Sam is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. He is a Life Member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club and is a recipient of the Phoenix Award in 2006 by The Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors.
Sam is married with four children and is active in community affairs with the City of Sandy Springs. Currently, Sam is president of the “John Ripley Forbes Big Trees Forest Preserve”, a 30 acre nature preserve located in the heart of Sandy Springs. Sam was past president of North Springs High School PTA, President of the Spalding Woods Neighborhood Association, Board of Directors for Morgan Falls Youth Sport Leagues and Atlanta Boy Scouts. In his free time, Sam enjoys golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.
