Ted Dowding is the Managing Broker / Founder of TD Commercial Group, a National Investment Sales Brokerage Firm that specializes in Acquisitions & Dispositions of Commercial Real Estate Assets.
Ted works directly with 1031 exchange investors to identify, negotiate, and secure real estate transactions. He has created a dynamic marketing and lead generation strategy to assure both real-time sales data and generation of a comprehensive buyer/seller database. Because of his approach, Ted delivers maximum product exposure in the marketplace faster than all competitors, resulting in quickly procuring multiple offers using his extensive buyer database.
He specializes in the sale of retail properties. In 2024 he had over $309,500,000 in investment sales transactions and close to $2 Billion in Career Investment Sales. Ted is more than a retail transaction expert but also brings current expertise regarding specific issues that affect the product. He has extensive knowledge of retail rents, demographic analysis, and property evaluations in terms of cap rates, price per square foot and future upside possibilities that will support the best sale price. Examples of net leased retail investment properties include transactions of properties leased by Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Burger King, Advance Auto Parts, Goodyear, O''Reilly''s, 7-Eleven to name only a few. Ted is an effective networker and has closed transactions in most states.
Previously, he spent two years as a Sales Associate for Pacific Coast Commercial and two years with Marcus & Millichap in San Diego, California. Ted has equipped himself with education in Real Estate Investment Analysis, Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Investment, and Appraisal, from Western Michigan University.
