William Lawyer joined Griffin Partners Atlanta office in February of 2021. He brings over 20 years of real estate, business and financial experience to the table from commercial real estate brokerge to property management and market analysis, budgets and cash flow management. Originally from Rosedale, New York, William and his family lived for many years in the New York City area where he excelled in commercial real estate, business, and consulting. Lawyer and his family moved south to Duluth, Georgia in November of 2020 to be closer to immediate family in Charleston, SC.

Prior to joining Griffin Partners Mr Lawyer was Investment Sales Director at Commercial Realty Nation (Carle Place, NY) with responsibility for management, landlord leasing, representation, and disposition services of a five million dollar investment portfolio. During his tenure, he negotiated numerous profitable leases with credit tenants. William also worked previously with commerical real estate investment firm Marcus & Millichap as a Property Investment Analyst in Brooklyn, NY. Additionally, Lawyer served as City Hall/Land Use Intern with the Office of the Honorable Leroy Comrie, Councilmember, 27th District, New York, NY and as a Distribution Supervisor with Coca Cola Enterprises, Inc. (Maspeth, NY).

Lawyer graduated from the Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University (NYU, New York, NY) with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Investment & Finance. He also holds an Associate of Science in Business Management Science from the University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC), as well as a Property Management, and Title Closer Certificate from the New York Real Estate Institute. William also holds a Real Associate Certificate from the REAP (Real Estate Associate Program), attesting to his successful completion of commercial real estate courses focused on how the real estate professional preserves and enhances value through increasing net operating income and reducing risk, as well as asset management, development, renovation and tenant retention, leasing and brokerage, financial and property management.

Lawyer is a member of the Princeton Club of New York, the NYU Real Estate Institute Student Association (REISA), National Association of Realtors (NAR), Schack Institute of Real Estate Student Association, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Project Management Institution Member (PMI). William Lawyer currently has his designation as a (CIREC) Commercial & Investment Real Estate Certified, and currently (FMVA 2021 Candidate) Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst. He holds a NY RE license at Pliskin Realty and Development, Inc .

William currently has his NY Notary LIC# 01LA6262920, NY LIC# 40LA0916954, and GA LIC# 405899. He resides in Duluth, GA with his family.
